Student of the Month Story
Student of the Month Interview
Donovan MccArthy is a freshman who won Student of the Month award last Thursday. He was voted the Student of the Month award by the teachers. He was given this award on August 7, 2017. He was given this award because he was the most outstanding student of the month at James Bowie High School."I was not surprised when I won, because I knew I was going to win." MccArthy said.
He is a very avid studier, and participates in many school activities. He studies 40 hours a day on the weekends, and 36 a day in the week. Some students believe this is a little bit too much, but Donovan says that this sets him apart from other students.
"I participate in every sport and club offered at Bowie High School." MccArthy says.
He believes participation is the key to being successful, and enjoys participating in many extracurricular activities. Attending school every single day is a must for him. His attendance has been perfect since he was in pre-school.
"In order to be nominated for this amazing award," Student MccArthy explains. "I participate in every class offered at Bowie, and am in every club."
MccArthy went above and beyond to guarantee him the Student of the Month award at James Bowie High School. He even goes to classes he is not signed up for because they challenge him. Many teachers found that this was the reason he was nominated and won Student of the Month award.
"I believe I was chosen to be Student of the Month because I am the best student in the world, actually ever." MccArthy said.
His teacher, McKenzie Smith says that he is the most talented student she has ever taught. She says he is always done with the class work weeks before she even assigns it to the class. Students I interviewed after the award was given also spoke very highly of him.
"Donovan, oh ya I know that guy," student Jason Tillisch said. "Once he won that award he was a changed person, he's so popular now there's a line in the morning just to talk to him."
MccArthy does not believe there is any room for improvement because he is already the best he can be, and the smartest person in the school. He does not enjoy school because everything is just a review. He explains how his easiest subject is geometry because everything is so simple.
"I don't have a challenging subject since every course offered at Bowie is easy." MccArthy explains.

Good work here as well. Remember we use first and last names once, and then just last names. You stuck to quote-transition style, which was good, but you will need to work on your attributions, they are incorrect. Nice first story!!
