1.The choice of Mr.Trump to make the deal without any support of his party leaders was very interesting because it is the opposite of what the Republican party believed. The Republicans wanted to use a 3 month deal to help with Harvey victims. However, the Democrats proposed an 18 month plan. This was also the first time that Trump resolved a major disagreement since the beginning of his presidency.
2.I believe the motivation of Mr.Trump to accept the Democrat's deal was mainly for the purpose of him being able to get more laws that he wants passed. I also believe that the decision was partly because he understands the severity of Hurricane Harvey, and wants to help out the victims however he can.
3.I think that the GOP leaders do not trust Mr.Trump as much as they had in the past because of his choice to not follow what they had advised. I think this because Mr.Trump had always gone with what they thought and they never had a reason to think that he wouldn't do what they advised, but now that he has, they won't fully trust him.
4.I do believe that the United States will benefit from this choice because the sooner we rebuild Houston and the areas that were affected by Hurricane Harvey, the sooner the citizens can go back to their lives. The Hurricane was one of the most damaging ones in a long time, and the citizens that were hurt by it deserve the support of their nation.
