  The Big Day Story    Sophia Cooper got married to John Smith at a small chapel Dulcinea in Oakland, California. The wedding took place on October 23, 2017.  This wedding was kept to 100 guests, Sophia Cooper had decided to keep the wedding small. The wedding took an unsteady turn when Brad Smith interrupted Sophia and John's wedding.   "I was shocked when I heard the door open, and in the middle of the ceremony? Who does that? I understood there had been something between Cooper and Brad, but I assumed that was over, for obvious reasons." The story shows a man trying to get to a wedding but he keeps getting caught in traffic. He finally makes it to the chapel, but i s too late. The plot twist occurs when he arrives for the wedding and there is already a man standing at the alter. He does not say anything after he sees them, but stares at the bride and groom for quite a while. Student of the Month Story

Student of the Month Interview   Donovan MccArthy is a freshman who won Student of the Month award last Thursday. He was voted the Student of the Month award by the teachers. He was given this award on August 7, 2017.  He was given this award because he was the most outstanding student of the month at James Bowie High School.   "I was not surprised when I won, because I knew I was going to win." MccArthy said.   He is a very avid studier, and participates in many school activities. He studies 40 hours a day on the weekends, and 36 a day in the week. Some students believe this is a little bit too much, but Donovan says that this sets him apart from other students.   "I participate in every sport and club offered at Bowie High School."  MccArthy says.   He believes participation is the key to being successful, and enjoys participating in many extracurricular activities. 1. Women Win the Right to Vote: In 1920 Women finally won the right to vote in elections. Before this amendment, women were not allowed to vote for anything. The 19th amendment changed that and gave them more rights men had. 2. Scientist Clone Sheep in Great Britain, 1997 In 1997, scientist were able to succesfully clone the first mammal. This was a major advance in science. She lived for more than 7 months. 3. United States Enters World War 1, 1917 When the United States entered World War 1, it sparked lots of controversy. Some people were for the war saying it needed to be done, and others were very against it.  2 million soldiers fought and it lasted for 4 years.
