My Favorite Cover

"In a stunning cover for New York’s “Spring Fashion” issue, Erik Madigan Heck created a wall-to-wall effect with the red and white floral pattern on Lupita Nyong’o’s Stella McCartney dress and a coordinated background. Nyong’o is no wallflower, seeming to pop right out of this inventive and stylish cover."

 My Critique: I like the fact that she blends into the background, but also stands out. I like how the picture is bright and clear and how you can see what the photographer was going for. I like how the magazine cover clearly states what the magazine will be about and it does not take a long time to process or understand. I also think the photo is properly exposed and very focused. Although there is lots of contrast with the background, the eye focuses on the girl in the image.
