1. I enjoy reading from the Daily Mail news column. The Daily Mail is an online newspaper, but is also a story on snapchat. I like to read from it because they provide interesting and funny stories on a daily basis. They also provide news on Trump and real world situations. I like to stay up to date on current issues, and this is a good platform to learn about these situations. Comm story 2

Earthquake Story

  Citizens of San Francisco experienced a 6.4 magnitude earthquake at 8:12am on a Monday morning.  The Hayward Fault Line shifted.   "A building housing McHenry's Auto Supply Shop partially collapsed, killing two people and injuring six others," public information officer Jennifer Vu said.  Half of the people injured during the earthquake, had serious injuries They were taken to hopital for further treatment.   "Three out of the six people injured were hurt seriously enough to require hospitalization and were transported to Hayward General Hospital," Vu said.  The earthquake also killed two people, and was of a 6.4 magnitude on the Richter scale.  "It [The Earthquake] occurred on the Hayward Fault Line, which runs under hills, the quake was a strong one," Scientist from U.S. Geological Survey Penny Gertz said.  Firefighters came out and inspected McHenry's auto supply shop, and made sure there was no further damage. Adopting My Dog And Cat   I remember going to the shelter when I was 8 years old. I can still visualize walking down the halls filled with kennels, wanting to take all of the dogs home. We spent all day looking at the dogs and cats trying to decide which ones to take home. I, of course, thought we neeeded all of them. After a couple hours, we were deciding on one of three dogs to adopt. There was one brown dog my mom was looking at from outside his kennel. When she approached him, he immedeately layed down. He waited for her to scratch his belly. Every time she tried to leave, he would give her his puppy dog eyes. This instantly meant there would be another round of petting. After an hour of hanging out in his kennel, we knew this was the dog for us.   We had gone to the shelter for one dog, and one cat. Huntington Story

    At 10pm on a Wednesday night in Barstow, California, Janice Jones' dog pushed her gun off of a chair.  The gun went off as it hit the ground and shot Jones in her leg.   "Jones does not have a permit for the gun," California Patrol press liaison Tammy Rye said.  The county's district attorney's office was considering whether to charge her in relation to the gun accident. The accident could have been much worse, according to Rye. "It could have been worse. The bullet was two inches away from hitting the gas tank," Rye said. There was another issue Jones had run into. Jones had a Pomeranian, Tombo, and it appeared to be abused when Animal Control officers came to take the dog. "The dog seemed to be malnourished," according to Janet Ngo one of the animal control officers, "and had fresh cigarette burns on its forehead, " Ngo said.
