I liked these portraits because you could see the subject clearly even though they were in a crowded background. I also think the background helps tell the story of the picture and gives you information about the subject.

I like the first self portrait because it was taken on an old vintage camera. The photographer also was very creative and took the picture in a mirror. I like the second self portrait because she used the light in a creative way. The background of this photo is also very similar and sets a mood for the picture.

I like these portraits because they don't feel very forced. I also like the cool tones used in the first image.
