2017 Prompts & Winter Break Vacation Q's

1. The best song of 2017 was Too Good At Goodbyes by Same Smith. I enjoyed this song because I though it was different than the current music. Instead of incorporating any pop elements, it was mainly him singing. This was a welcomed change from the current music of my generation. I also liked this song because it took you on a journey that you could tell was personal.

2. I thought Wonder Woman was the best movie of 2017. I liked this movie because I thought it was very well done and I never felt bored or confused while watching it. I also liked how both the protagonist and antagonist were women. It also ties in the mythical world Wonder Woman came from and the real world. I like that the movie was set in the middle of World War 2.
3. "Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to join White House as senior adviser; no formal role for Ivanka Trump" was the most important news story of 2017. I find this news article so interesting because it shows the blatant nepotism in the White House. I think this is important for 2017 because it shows how much Trump lacks the qualities of a president. He also hired Ivanka Trump with no previous qualifications that would help her earn the job. 
4. I think Jeff Bezos is the most important person of 2017.  I think this because he is the CEO of Amazon. Amazon has shaped how people do their shopping nowadays. He has also become the richest CEO in the world which is difficult to do. Amazon has also donated to many causes including Hurricane Harvey and Maria. 
5. My person of the year is Khalid. I chose him because he is a very young artist and has already toured with Lorde. I think he is an important person because he remains a humble person despite being very successful. His goal is to "create happiness" through music and I think that was something everyone needed in 2017 since there was so much negativity. 
1. Tell me what is the one thing that happened on your holiday that you will remember? It can be a trip, a family visit, a present, something fun.
I will remember spending time with my family and getting my wisdom teeth out. I will remember my grandparents coming down from Dallas to spend Christmas with us and talking to them.
2. What are your resolutions for the 2018 year?
- Be more grateful for what I have
- Stress less about school but focus more on working towards the grades I want 
3. What are you looking forward to in 2018?
I am looking forward to getting my drivers permit.
